Every great ad starts with a compelling idea. To kickstart the process, I turned to ChatGPT, a powerful AI assistant for brainstorming and ideation.
Initial Conceptualization: I typically use ChatGPT to brainstorm creative ideas and generate ad concepts to present to clients. In this case, the client provided a pre-written script, which streamlined the process. However, I used ChatGPT to refine the script, identify key messages, and brainstorm unique ways to visually represent the story.
Storyboarding: Working with ChatGPT, I mapped out a detailed storyboard that outlined each scene of the ad. This included visuals, transitions, and character interactions. The storyboard served as a blueprint for the entire project.
Character Design: The client wanted a relatable and engaging character named Mark to feature throughout the ad. Mark’s personality, appearance, and expressions were carefully planned to align with the brand’s identity and appeal to the target audience.
Once the storyboard was finalized, it was time to bring Mark to life. For this, I used OpenArt AI, a versatile tool for generating high-quality characters and illustrations.
Generating the Initial Character: Using prompts tailored to Mark’s personality and appearance, I created the first version of the character.
Creating Variations: OpenArt AI’s emotion change feature allowed me to generate different expressions and variations of Mark, such as smiling, serious, and surprised. This added depth and versatility to the character, ensuring it could convey the required emotions across various scenes.
Consistency in Design: To maintain visual consistency, I generated around 10 images of Mark with different facial expressions and poses. This helped establish a cohesive character identity throughout the ad.
Consistency is crucial when using a character throughout an ad campaign. To achieve this, I trained a LORA model in OpenArt AI using the images of Mark I had generated.
Training the Model: By feeding OpenArt AI with multiple images of Mark, the tool learned to replicate the character’s design and style. This ensured that all future images of Mark—no matter the scene or context—would have the same appearance and level of detail.
Scene-Specific Prompts: With the custom model ready, I turned to ChatGPT for help in crafting prompts for each scene of the ad. These prompts guided the AI in generating visuals that aligned with the script while keeping Mark as the centerpiece.
The images generated by OpenArt AI were already of high quality, but additional refinements were necessary to ensure they met professional standards.
Upscaling with Gigapixel AI: I used Gigapixel AI to upscale the images without losing detail. This step is essential for creating sharp, vibrant visuals suitable for video production.
Editing with Canva: For minor adjustments, such as removing unwanted objects or fixing inconsistencies, I relied on Canva. This user-friendly tool allowed me to polish the visuals and ensure they were error-free.
Static images are great, but videos are far more engaging. To bring the storyboard to life, I used Kling AI to convert the images into animated scenes.
Using Consistent Prompts: The same prompts I used to generate the images were repurposed in Kling AI to maintain consistency in animation style and storytelling.
High-Quality Output: Kling AI provided videos in 1080p resolution, which eliminated the need for additional upscaling. However, if you’re using other tools like Minimax or Runway, you may need to upscale the videos afterward using Topaz Video AI for a professional finish.
